Lucca Film Festival 2022 rewards Remains Of The Wind by Tiago Guedes

After its Calpurnia Award for Best Film in Ourense FF last week, where it competed next to the likes of Ruben Östlund's Triangle Of Sadness or the Dardenne brothers' Tori and Lokita, Tiago Guedes' Remains Of The Wind keeps impressing festival audiences, in Lucca, where the Press Jury awarded it the Marcello Petrozziello Award for Best Film "for the elegance of the direction, for the dark, evocative, powerful cinematography {...}, for the ability to render effectively, also through the use of language, the spiritual essence of evil that, like a breath, paraphrasing the title of the film, touches us to make us its slaves. For the poetic figure of Laureano, a last, an outcast, a savage like so many in so many corners of the world, and finally for the theme of violence, unfortunately always relevant in our societies."
