In 2011, we accompanied the French release of Pain Noir, then the sixth film by Catalan director Agustí Villaronga. The film, which takes place in the years following the Spanish Civil War, received numerous awards, including a string of Goya awards. The death of the director at the age of 69 comes at a time when he was editing his next film Lola Tormenta. Our sincere thoughts are with his family and friends.
