Adapted from J.M. Coetzee’s trilogy, the film portrays a dystopian world where memory has been erased and conformity is enforced. David, a curious and defiant child, arrives as a refugee with his guardian, Simón, and faces a society that suppresses individuality. As David challenges the system, Simón and Inés grapple with the complexities of parenthood to protect him.
The film explores the search for identity, the importance of memory, and the fears of modern life.
