Adapted from the novel of the same name by Agustina Bessa-Luis, "A Sibila" is the latest production by Paulo Branco, directed by Eduardo Brito. The film is due to be released this year, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of one of the greatest Lusophone writers.

The film also marks Paulo Branco's return to the world of Agustina Bessa-Luis. With Manoel de Oliveira, he produced the adaptation of seven of her books, including Francisca, The Principle of Uncertainty, Val Abraham and The Convent.

The film will be adapted into a mini-series.
