We are proud to announce that A Herdade (The Domain), by director Tiago Guedes, has been selected for the official competition of the 2019 Venice Film Festival. Several days later, A Herdade will have its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where it has been selected in the main section "Special Presentations”. It is the first Portuguese movie ever to be selected there.

A HERDADE is the story of a charismatic landwoner of one of the largest estates in Southern Europe. It is a powerful fresco of Portugal in the second half of the 20th century, an epic fiction with strong and enigmatic characters. It is a film that questions us about “what makes us who we are”.
